Wow, what a day it was in Shannon on Friday!
For the first time ever, the full Hurricanes squad trained in Shannon in front of an excited crowd who were buzzing to see world class players trotting around their back yard. After a quick stop off in Otaki for lunch, the Hurricanes embarked on the Shannon Domain for training session which was followed by a short signing session.
The highlight of the day for many would have been the skills and drills sessions with the Hurricanes players. Over 160 kids took part in these sessions that involved catch and pass, contact, tackling and kicking. Check out some of the pics to see how much fun the kids had!
A big thank you must go to Shannon RFC for hosting the training session as well as all the volunteers who assisted both with planning and helping out on the day.
Go the Canes!!!
