The Shannon RFC are holding an appeal to support 18 year old Awatapu College 1st 15 player Nathan Manville who suffered a broken neck in a College game just over 7 weeks ago.
Members of the wider Manville family lived and farmed in the Shannon area for quite some time and Nat played junior rugby for the Shannon club, as well as attending Primary School here.
He faces a long road, with an uncertain future, and any support that we can provide both himself and the family is just a small part of what they will need from now and moving forward.
Shannon RFC are looking at several options and have had the offer of a fundraising band event as well as wanting to auction off donated items or services.
If anyone would like to donate an item/service/product that could be auctioned please contact me with the details. We would like to run the auction on Saturday 19th July after the semi-finals, at the Shannon Clubrooms.
We are also asking for any cash donations and will hold appeals at the semi-final as well as the HKRFU organising an appeal at the club finals day on 26th July.
